AI Use Disclosure
asmThe words on this site are not, and will never be, AI generated.
However, I do use AI systems in a few ways
- The images are all generated. I have very little artistic ability, but I am working on that and may one day be able to do them myself or have a collaborator.
- I get editorial feedback on my writing. I have standing instructions to never suggest wording or edits. Instead, I am primarily looking for:
- Tone consistency. These are topics I feel very strongly about, and it's easy for me to slide into a polemical tone, which I don't want.
- Truth. Jesus identified himself and his teaching with Truth and I am committed to Truth. To that end I have directives to check that what I am saying matches my sources and is verifiable. That I'm not making things up or making claims beyond what my sources support.
- General coherence. Do the pieces fit together?
- I use AI as a research assistant, tracking down sources, finding sources doing similar things, surfacing perspectives that may be at odds with what I'm saying. Double checking that I'm using quotes and narratives in a way consistent with the wider context they originate in.
- Where I cannot find a complete English version of a source, as with Historia de las Indias, I've used AI translations.
